And we enjoyed the lighthearted antics and silly debates between the two. However, the storyline for Tammy has become grittier as her weight has continued to increase. We are here to talk about 1000-lb Sisters the two sisters.
Before you watch 1000 lb. Sisters
You should probably brace yourself. The 1000 lb sisters reality show follows sisters Amy and Tammy, who weigh more than 1,000 pounds, as they navigate daily life. Given that we’ve followed these two women for three seasons now. It’s probably not surprising that things have gotten harder. But just how hard is surprising. From their struggles with fertility to Tammy’s near-total dependence on her sister to get around, there are a lot of moments in 1000 lb sisters. 1000 lb sisters will make you cringe in your seat (or even cry). It’s heartbreaking to watch someone struggle so much with something like mobility. But if there’s one thing I know from watching 1000 lb. Sisters, all these years. It’s that you can’t give up hope or lose sight of what you want out of life. No matter how impossible it may seem at times.
1000 lb sisters season 2:
1000 lb sisters season 2 continues to chronicle Amy’s attempts to lose weight through an outpatient surgical program. While her sister Tammy struggles with an addiction to junk food. The sisters spend their nights at home together and wake up every morning making each other breakfast. When it’s bedtime, they sleep in one room and share one bathroom. Amy still can’t bear to see herself naked, but that doesn’t stop her from going out on a few dates. She even goes out on a horseback ride with her boyfriend.
Which proves to be a challenge. Ultimately, she tells him that things have gone too fast for her, and he calls it quits. Meanwhile, Tammy is dealing with serious health issues due to her eating habits. Her feet are swollen, and she has trouble breathing when lying down. So she decides to move into an assisted living facility with more care available than what she gets at home.
Main characters
The main characters in Amy 1000 lb sisters and Tammy Slaton are two sisters who weigh a staggering 1,600 pounds. Both want to lose weight and get healthy, but their demons hold them back. Amy is single and wants to start a family with her boyfriend, but she can’t because of her size. She tried pregnancy once before but suffered from heart problems at 319 pounds and had to have an emergency C-section. That led to postpartum depression, making it even harder for her to lose weight. Her sister Tammy is married with kids, but she has fibromyalgia which has confined her to bed. To put it simply, life isn’t easy for either sister.
This show differs from My 600 lb Life.
After watching every episode of My 600 lb Life, I’ve realized that there is always a common thread in each person’s life. At some point, everyone lets someone down. It could be a friend, family member, or spouse you love dearly and have shared your life with for years. My children got left behind when I chose to take my path in life. The biggest difference between My 600 lb Life and 1000 lb sisters is that Tammy is not ready to let anyone down.
She wants to get better so she can go home again. Tammy wants her sister Amy to see her as more than just a big blob of fat that sits on their couch all day long. She wants her parents to stop worrying about her health and focus on it. What she has accomplished so far rather than looking at how much work still needs to be done.
1000 lb sisters season 3
Since season 2, Tammy’s been dealing with a devastating knee injury that left her in a wheelchair. But now, she’s out of her chair and trying to get back on her feet. With all of her weight issues, it’s not as easy as you might think. But there is one thing that gives her hope: Her boyfriend Gabe. Who wants to get married and start a family. Unfortunately for them both, doctors say he has to support both of them before they can even think about having kids together. If he can’t lift either sister from their bed or help Amy get into hers, how could he possibly pick up an infant?
The episode ends with Tammy saying I love him so much I want to give him a child. Which makes us wonder whether she’ll be able to follow through. It also leaves us wondering whether we should be rooting for them. After watching two seasons, including 1000 lb sisters, season 3 of these sisters struggle with their weight and health problems. Maybe being overweight isn’t just unhealthy — maybe it’s keeping these women from finding happiness. We don’t want to be callous about what these women are going through. But after seeing how hard things have been over 1000 lb sisters season 3.

Tammy Slaton’s Declining Health
When Tammy and Amy revealed they were setting out on weight loss journeys in season 1 of 1000-lb Sisters. The Slaton siblings were full of optimism and eager to put their past behind them. When Tammy and Amy shared their fitness plans with their mother, Darlene. The unfeeling matriarch quickly asserted that she didn’t think her daughters had the nerve to achieve their goals. Tammy and Amy remain hopeful for the future despite the dark promise that their 1 000 pound sisters season 1 episode contained.
Despite this hope, only Amy’s journey culminates in success. when she qualifies for bariatric surgery by the end of 1000-lb Sisters debut. Back then, fans were still confident that Tammy would reach her fitness goals the next time around. When you look at it this way, all of the show’s success in season 1 seemed to disappear with season 3. Tammy showed that her weight loss goal is no longer the driving force throughout the show’s third season. She demonstrated this when she checked out. Of rehab and lost track of her 100-pound weight-loss goal because she missed her family and home.
Tammy’s Dysfunctional Relationships
Throughout the last season of 1000-lb Sisters, Tammy’s health, relationship with her sister, and bond with her mother have worsened. In the first season of 1000-lb Sisters, Tammy’s sister had a lighthearted and playful attitude with her sister that occasionally revealed disagreements. From the first couple of years onward, Amy and Tammy spent their time together doing fun things like swimming. All of this played into their close bond and connection. Fans find the season 3 conflict between Tammy and Amy hard to watch. Because while before they might have seen a positive moment between the sisters. They’re bound to witness a disappointing fight.
Will there be a season 4?
Amy Slaton from 1000 pound sisters is cancelled. Anybody who supports the confederacy is racist. Point blank period. I’m definitely team Tammy now. Also look at Amy’s newborn son Gage in that trump hat! I’m disgusted #1000lbBestFriends #1000lbsisters pic.twitter.com/AOz1CVxhNv
