Luca Changretta was born in Naples, Italy and came to Britain after World War I. Luca is a gangster who works closely with the Italian mafia on the side of his more legitimate business ventures. Luca Changretta is a member of the Italian mafia in Birmingham, England. He has made an appearance on the hit series “Peaky Blinders”.
Luca Changretta was born to Giuseppe and Maria Changretta in Castelvetrano, Sicily. His father was killed by Black Hand assassins when he was just six years old. This event would have a profound impact on Luca and lead him to become the ruthless man he is today.
After his father’s death, Luca and his mother relocated to Birmingham, England where they joined the Italian mafia. Luca quickly rose through the ranks and became one of the most feared members of the gang.
In 1917, Luca Changretta was shot four times by a young Tommy Shelby in retaliation for the gang’s killing of his family members. It seemed that Luca would die from these injuries until Arthur Wellesley came to his rescue and took him to a local doctor who was able to save his life.
In 1920, luca sets out on a bloody rampage to kill the Shelbys. He fails in his attempt and is subsequently arrested and sent to prison.
