Given you have friends who can play poker with you and you have enough cash to play at your local casino, should you still try online poker? The answer, of course, is a resounding yes because it’s an entirely different experience. If you’re not convinced, here are nine reasons why.

You Won’t Be Able To See One Another

In physical poker, you can see your opponents’ faces and body language, giving clues about their hands. When you play poker online, you can only see their avatars and usernames.

If you’re the type that is good at deciphering other players’ tells, this will be a disadvantage for you, as you will not be able to call their bluffs and know how well you’re faring. On the other hand, the upside to this is that your opponents will not be able to do the same to you. This is good if you’re the type whose tells are a dead giveaway.

You Can Play More Hands

In physical poker, you’re usually limited to one table with 9 or 10 other players. This means you can only play a maximum of 60 hands per hour. In online poker, you can open up multiple tables and play several games simultaneously.

Some people might see this as a disadvantage because it can confuse keeping track of all the different hands. However, if you’re the type who can focus on multiple things at once, this will be a great way to make a few quick bucks.

The Pacing Is Different

In online poker games, the hands are dealt much faster than in physical poker. This is because there is no need to shuffle and deal the cards manually – it’s all done by computer. For some players, this can be an advantage as they can get more hands per hour. This might disadvantage others as they feel rushed and make mistakes.

Another reason online poker can go a lot faster is that everyone is making their decisions simultaneously. This can be good or bad, depending on how you view it. On the one hand, you can win or lose a lot of money in a short amount of time. If you’re on a winning streak, you can make a lot of money in a short amount of time.

If you’re having trouble with the pace, try playing free online poker as practice until you get the hang of it.

You Can’t See The Chips

In online poker, you can only see your opponents’ avatars and bet amounts. This can be a good or bad thing, depending on how you view it. On one hand, you won’t be able to see how much money your opponents have, so you won’t know if they’re bluffing or not.

You Can Play In Your Underwear

This is probably one of the best advantages of online poker. You can play in your PJs, underwear, or even naked! (Although, we don’t recommend playing naked as it can be quite distracting.)

You Don’t Have To Tip

In physical poker, it’s customary to tip the dealer when you win a hand. There is no need to do this in online poker as the dealers are virtual and not real people.

This is an excellent advantage as it means you can keep all your winnings instead of giving away a portion.

You Might Be Able to Get Better Bonuses and Promotions

Since online poker is a competitive market, some sites offer better bonuses and promotions than others. For example, you might be able to find a site that offers a 100% match bonus on your first deposit, which means that if you deposit $100, they will give you an additional $100 to play with. You can also find sites that offer VIP programs and rakeback deals.

These are all things that you should take into consideration when choosing an online poker site. If you don’t like it, you can quit anytime. But in the likely chance that you do, check out GG Poker, one of the best online poker sites.

It’s More Convenient

This is probably the most significant advantage of online poker – it’s more convenient. You don’t have to leave your house, find a babysitter, or take time off from work. You can play whenever you want, for as long as you want.

This is also a great way to meet new people from all over the world. In physical poker, you’re usually limited to the people at the same casino as you. In online poker, you can play with anyone, anywhere.

You Can Play for Lower Stakes

In physical poker, the minimum buy-in is usually $20-$100. This might be too expensive for some people. In online poker, you can generally find games with a buy-in of $0.01-$0.10. This is a great way to get started if you’re new to the game or don’t want to risk a lot of money. And if you’re in practice mode, play poker online free in the meantime.

Play Poker Online Today!

Hopefully, with all these good reasons, we managed to encourage you or change your mind about online poker. So, what are you waiting for? Go online, get started, and get to winning. Next thing you know, you’re an online poker pro.
