Exante is a Maltese broker founded in March 2011, offering trading in over 20 currency pairs, precious metals, options, bonds, stocks and ETFs through its proprietary multi-product platform. The broker is particularly focused on stock trading as it has access to more than 25 global exchanges including NYSE, NASDAQ, CME, LSE, LSE, Euronext , XETRA, MOEX, TOCOM, etc.
EXANTE Ltd., which trades in the name of EXANTE, holds a Type 2 Investment Services License issued by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) and qualifies as a fund manager. Fund managers are authorized to provide any investment services and hold or control clients’ funds or assets, but may not operate multilateral trading facilities or trade in their own accounts (or underwrite or place instruments on a firm commitment basis).
The MFSA is Malta’s sole financial services regulator and also manages the trade registry and functions as a listing authority.
In addition to the minimum capital requirement of EUR 730,000 that should be met on an ongoing basis, the licensee must have an on-site presence, implement appropriate internal controls for its day-to-day operations, maintain a risk management system and report regularly to the MFSA.
Regulated brokers must also comply with ESMA guidelines for selling complex products, which specifically mentions that online EXANATE is a complex product. Malta has been a member of the European Union since 1 May 2004. Therefore, any MFSA regulated investment firm is also MiFID compliant and therefore entitled to provide cross-border services within the EU under the MiFID passport system.
Minimum deposit
To open an account with EXANTE, traders need to invest at least $10,000. For the foreign exchange market, this minimum initial amount is high. Other European brokers have lower requirements: for example, FCA-regulated HY Markets charges its clients a $50 start-up fee, while FXTM from Cyprus costs just $5.
Spread/Commission
The reviews of Exante broker – it is only account offers small variable spreads of 0.3 pips on average on EUR/USD, but also includes a commission of 0.5 pips per trade. So basically, the average transaction cost for an ECN account holder is about 1.3 pips, including commissions, which corresponds to the foreign exchange market.

Maximum leverage
The maximum leverage level offered by verdict Exante broker is 1:50, which is considered a low ratio, but the broker clearly caters to large investors who have free capital and reportedly do not need high levels of leverage.
