Fashion and art are both about self-expression, but how do they fit together? While fashion and art each have their own separate aesthetics, they inherently complement each other. Fashion and art share a similar purpose: to illustrate a story. While art uses visuals, fashion uses visual appeal.
What Is Fashion?
Fashion is a broad term to cover a certain try-to style that comes from the latest fashion. Style can be defined as a selected way of dressing or behaving that expresses or carries an attitude, character, and individuality. Fashion isn’t something that’s created; rather, fashion is the way that we actually dress. It is a trend.
Fashion is more than what we think it is. It is a form of art, an expression of self, and it is every woman’s hobby. Every woman has her own way of being stylish. Some women prefer to wear casual clothes, some like to dress up, and others like to go for the trendy look. You may wonder what fashion is, but if you dig deeper, you will find out that it is truly an amazing art form.
What Is Art?
Art is perceived differently by each individual. Some see art as something created through an idea or talent, while others see art as something created through personal expression. Art is created through different techniques and mediums. Some of these techniques include painting, sculpting, drawing, photography, film, and more. It is difficult for anyone to define what art is, as art is always in the eye of the beholder.
Art can be many things. It can be a canvas, a sculpture, or a painting. Art can also consist of music, theater, and dance. All of these forms of art are forms of expression, a way to share thoughts and feelings.
Art can be created by humans but can also be created by nature. Natural art occurs naturally when events occur in nature and are not manipulated by humans. Art can also come in the form of writing. Writing can be a newspaper report, a poem, a short story, or a novel.
Who Is David Kracov?
David Kracov is a name you may not recognize, yet, you surely know his work. Kracov, known as “The Lion King” animation cel creator, is responsible for creating many of the most notable animation cells, most notably the lions that appear in Disney’s “The Lion King.” Kracov, a Hungarian immigrant, moved to the United States in 1971. Kracov worked for Disney, Warner Brothers, DreamWorks, and Sony Animation during his career.
Fashion and art are intrinsically tied together. However, this is not always immediately obvious. Art tends to have its own rules, and fashion has none. But how much do the two actually have in common? And are they two separate entities? The experiences we have and the things we make, see, and hear all affect how we choose to dress. But can this also affect what we create?
