Exploring Instagram Creator Studio

Business owners, influencers, and just about anybody else can use this tool to monetize their content, obtain insight into the reach and engagement of their posts, manage and schedule articles, and do a lot more!

Account Setup

One thing to note is that the Creator Studio requires that your Instagram account be linked before you can manage posts, gain insights, or create content on your desktop. Ensure that your Instagram account and Facebook Page that you manage are connected. Don’t forget to switch your account to a business profile! Do the following steps once you’re ready.

  1. Launch the Creator Studio on your computer.
  2. Locate the Instagram icon at the top. 
  3. There are many options you can take depending on your account.
    • You can click to connect a Facebook Page to the Instagram account you want to utilize in Creator Studio.
    • Your second choice is to click on Connect to Instagram to link your Facebook Page to your Instagram account if you don’t already have one. Follow the instructions to link your Instagram account that will appear on your screen.
    • Another option is to click Connect another Instagram Account and follow the steps if you’re in charge of a Facebook Page linked to an Instagram account but want to utilize a different Instagram account not listed.
    • If you want to manage numerous Instagram profiles that are already linked to your Facebook Page or Pages in Creator Studio, select Continue with Connected Accounts.
  4. You’re good to go if you have accomplished all these steps!

Content Management

After setting up your account, your first stop will be the Instagram Content Library. Here, you can see all of your Instagram content, including IGTV videos, carousels, stories, photographs, and videos. You can utilize filters in the Instagram Content Library to organize content based on the post’s date and status. 

One thing to make full use of is the search box. The search box makes it much easier to locate certain pieces of content. You may also click on any of your posts in the list to get a more in-depth look at how well they’ve performed. Individual post stats will be similar to what you’d find in the Instagram app itself in most cases.

Creating Instagram Posts and IGTV Videos

Instagram Creator Studio includes tools for creating Instagram feed posts as well as IGTV videos on the platform. Creators may now manage their Facebook and Instagram profiles from one spot. To start a new post, you must click on Create Post in the panel’s upper left corner. The Instagram Feed and IGTV options can be found under the Create Post dropdown menu.

Instagram Posts

Upon selecting Instagram Feed, a new window will appear on the right side of your screen. You can upload an image (or a series of photos in the case of carousel articles), write a caption, and specify a location in this window. When you’re satisfied with the post details, click Publish if you want to send the post immediately. 

You can otherwise schedule it for later by pressing the drop-down arrow located near the Publish button and choosing Schedule. Set the time and date once the calendar and time settings pop up. Press Schedule once set, and your post will be sent when the time comes. It’s pretty easy, right?

IGTV Videos

Select Create Post > IGTV from the menu on the left-hand side. After that, choose a video for your IGTV post by clicking the upload icon under IGTV Video Details. Enter the post’s title and description in the text boxes provided. To use a photo as the thumbnail for your IGTV post, go to the Cover Images section and click on Upload Custom Image. 

Under Choose Where Your Post Appear, you can select from the following options: Sneak a peek on Instagram and Facebook. Similar to the scheduling steps for Instagram posts, click the dropdown next to the publish button. Press Schedule from the menu. Instagram’s live video feature allows you to time your post (IGTV). Hit Schedule and you’re done.

Tapping Into Instagram Analytics

To help creators better understand their audience and how their work is appreciated, Instagram’s new Creator Studio features and insights page. To be clear, while other Instagram analytics services acquire data for up to 3 months, Creator Studio only collects data from the preceding 7 days.

You can see what people do when they engage with your account by looking at the Activity Insights page. It also keeps track of how far your material has spread and how many times it has been seen in the last seven days.
