SMARTPLY OSB
SMARTPLY Oriented Strand Board (OSB) is a cost effective and environmentally friendly alternative to plywood and is incredibly strong and versatile panel. At CEW we cut to size a range of SMARTPLY boards to customers’ sizes to ensure accuracy and most optimum usage of available material.
Two grades of SMARTPLY: MAX and ULTIMA can be cut to to your project requirements.

Materials cut to specific sizes can be used for a range of applications including:
Passivhaus, Site Hoarding, Refurbishment projects, Design, Exterior, Offsite, Timber Frame, Interior Fit-Out, Walls, Roofing, Flooring and Drylining.
Cutting lists provided by customers for cut to size service, are optimised to achieve the most cost effective usage of panels, providing best value for money for the client.
Plywood
We supply white melamine faced birch plywood as an alternative to MFC and MF MDF. It can be machined and does not require lipping or edge banding. Using our CNC machine edge can be bevelled to required angle.
Birch Plywood sourced from Finland and Latvia Birch can be B/BB or BB/BB grade as well as overlaid on both sides with a smooth white melamine laminate. Using our precise beam saw or CNC cutting, we provide optimal cutting to size service for furniture designers and makers, architects, wardrobe and shop fitters.
Close relationship with our suppliers allows us to have materials ready for cutting to size the next day allowing us to turnover orders in 5 working days*

White melamine faced birch plywood is ideal for bespoke furniture and cabinet systems. The edges can be easily worked and finished to highlight the high-quality natural birch core.
Various grades of birch plywood are used for a range of projects. In order to achieve the most effective part layout, project cutting lists are optimised prior to cutting to size. This allows us minimise waist and the off cuts for customers.
Grade B/BB
The best grade available for clear finishing. Good, clean appearance, only minor, natural features, i.e. small pin knots permitted on the ‘B’ Face.
‘B’ grade is normally only available with ‘BB’ Grade reverse.
Grades S/BB & S+/BB
S Face is similar to Grade B, but allows more natural characteristics and the odd well-made patch – Generally good enough quality face for clear finishing or painting. S+/BB has a better face with no patches. The reverse is a standard BB Grade.
Grade BB/BB
The main commercial or utility grade – both faces are Grade BB – which allows patches and other knots/ imperfections. Suitable for all general work, including CNC Machining or where face grade not overly important.
Good quality BB grade boards may be used for clear finishing and furniture! Available in Long or Cross grain construction.
