Put in the carpet protection film
Putting in a carpet protection film over your floors is benefitted in many ways. First, it can be a difficult and time taking process of cleaning dirt off from your carpets while moving so to avoid this trouble you can apply carpet protection film. Once you put it in the film it will remain down as it will stick to the floor and does not shove. Moreover, it is transparent and flexible so you do not need to be worried more about damaging your carpet. It is safe to stay on the carpet for 45 days and does not leave any sticky marks behind on removal.
Use floor runners
By using floor runners it creates paths for movers to shift furniture and these strips can be used on both carpeted and hard floor surfaces. These runners can be available in different widths and lengths. But these strips are a bit expensive and only protect a partial travel track.
Rubber wheel dollies
Rubber wheel dollies must be used by movers for moving bulky furniture and appliances to awaited trucks. It protects your carpet surface and hard surface from the damage that happens due to the dragging of furniture. But remember while using these dollies they should remain on the covered travel track.
Shoe booties
While moving make sure all the workers have to wear shoe booties to avoid dirt marks on the carpet or floor that comes from outside. Shoe booties are the most common solution for lessening dirt marks plus they are highly reliable and affordable. However, if any worker stepped in water or muddy place then it will leave a muddy trace on your carpet.
Plywood for protection
Using plywood protection can be expensive but it works great in the protection of carpet surface or a hard surface. It works as another floor over the actual floor so it helps to prevent any damages while moving or renovating. This specificity of plywood sheets makes them a bit more worthy than other protections. But plywood will not serve as furniture sliders at all. Why? Because these sheets already provide servings of the artificial floor which means all the dirt and damage will be on plywood not on the actual floor.
Furniture sliders
Furniture sliders can also be used for carpet or floor protection. These sliders are used to drag bulky furniture as they act as a barrier between furniture and floor. You can easily find these sliders in many shapes and sizes from the market.
