T20 cricket format is the most famous format because of limited over and the raining of sixes. Every cricket playing nation participates in the different cricket leagues in the world, but Asia is a country where Cricket game is popular than any other sports.
There are different cricket leagues in the T20 format which are hosted by the Asian countries. Let’s talk about these leagues.
Pakistan Super League
Pakistan Super League or PSL is a T20 cricket league that is organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). This league is also very famous because of the professional T20 players of Pakistan who are very good in this format.
Karachi Kings is the defending champion in the HBL PSL 6 2021. They have won the PSL 5 final match against Lahore Qalanders. Check Karachi Kings squad for 2021 PSL 6.
The league was started from UAE and all the matches were played in the UAE because of the security issues in Pakistan. For the second edition, again all the matches were played in the UAE expect the final match that was played in the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Indian Premier League
Indian Premier League or IPL is the official cricket league of India and this league is organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). In the start Indian Cricket League (ICL) was started by some private owners and organizers in India and it become famous in no time. Players from all around the world participated in that.
But right from the 1st and the only edition, BCCI announce to start the official cricket league of India with the name of IPL and also asked the players to cancel their contracts with the ICL. They said those players who will play in the ICL will not be allowed to play the official cricket league of India, IPL.
Bangladesh Premier League
Bangladesh Premier League is another great T20 cricket league that is organized by an Asian country. This league was started in 2021 and is organized by Bangladesh. Rajshahi Royals are the defending champions.
The league is also called the BPL or Hero BPL as it is sponsored by Hero Honda. The league has total 8 teams. BPL has some issues with the players where players complained about no payments on time to them. But the cricket board of the Bangladesh has covered and handled this issue now, and now there are no such complaints.
Lanka Premier League
This is the new T20 cricket league that is the official cricket league of Sri Lanka. This cricket league is also called LPL. The league was founded in 2018 in Sri Lanka and it is organized be the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC)
There is only 1 edition of the league since it is started the last year in 2020. The LPL was supposed to start from August 2020, but due to Corona Pandemic restrictions Lanka Premier League was rescheduled many times.
Finally the first season of the LPL was started from 26 Nov 2020 and it is expected that this league will also become famous in coming years.
